For most services, children and youth begin the morning in the Sanctuary with their parents and the rest of the congregation.
Early in the service, children and youth are invited to come to the front of the Sanctuary for Time for All Ages. We share a story, activity, or conversation that connects with the same theme as that Sunday’s service, giving our youngest members a way to engage with the ideas we are exploring together.
On Sundays when Religious Exploration classes are offered, the children and youth are then sung out to their classes. Parents are welcome to walk their children to class or allow them to leave with their teachers.
This shared beginning helps children understand that they are not simply attending a separate children’s program—they are an important part of our entire congregation and our shared worship experience.
